Meet the Team

A consortium led by an SME with co-promoters from the North region of Portugal and an International Partner

Project Leader

SME with strong emphasis on Research & Development dedicated to regenerative medicine.

Stemmatters
is focused on developing ground breaking biomaterials for tissue repair and regeneration, along with cost-effective solutions for biological and cellular therapeutics.

Ø  Role: STM is the coordinator of the project, being responsible for its coordination and management as well as of several research and development activities, with emphasis to activities related to the injectable hydrogel design and testing, and exploitation plans.

Co-Promoters

INL | International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory

Ø  Role: develop the plasmonic sensors that would be encapsulated within the hydrogels, by making use of advanced nanotechnology strategies. INL brings to the consortium a strong expertise in in vitro testing and micro- and nano-fabrication.

Life and Health Sciences Research Institute (ICVS)

Ø  Role: insights into cancer disease, clinical needs and target biomarkers will be covered by ICVS in cooperation with 2CA-Braga and its cutting-edge medical innovation facilities. The diagnosis windows and requirements will be defined by these partners and fed into the technological partners of the consortium.
